Francois obtained his Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics National Diploma from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2013 and his Bachelor of Technology in 2019 (Cum Laude). He has been a member of the Health professions council of South Africa since 2010 and a member of the South African Orthotics and Prosthetics association since 2013. From 2010 to 2016 he worked as an Orthotist Prosthetist in private practice with a special interest in lower limb prosthetics. In 2016 he was appointed as a member of the Össur Academy, taking up the role as Sub- Saharan Africa Clinical specialist for Össur. He has received international mentorship in the following fields:
