William van Aarde holds a M Com (Human Resource Management) from the Rand Afrikaans University (University of Johannesburg) in South Africa, as well as an Advanced Programme in Organisation Development (OD) from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He is a Registered Industrial / Organisational Psychologist at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (no. PS 0055603) and a Master Human Resource Practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (no. 4546). William has extensive working and consulting experience in the Human Resources field, with a demonstrated record of achievement in delivering projects aligned with the execution of corporate strategy. He consults to various organisations in the aviation, logistics, financial, mining, hospitality, engineering, production and medical sectors. As I/O Psychologist William consults on all aspects of Management Assessment and Development, incorporating Assessment Centre Technologies, Recruitment and Selection, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Human Resource Development, including the assessment of learning potential, conducting of skills audits and the development and facilitation of management and leadership skills development programmes. He is a past Senior Lecturer and Tutor / Assessor at The Graduate Institute of Management and Technology (GIMT), Knovation (part of the Learning Resources Group) and the University of Free State. He held various managerial positions in both the transport (aviation and rail) and the gold mining industries. William is the founding member of The Talent Seekers (www.thetalentseekers.com), an Integrated HR and Talent Management Solutions company assisting companies in their human capital and talent management processes, covering the entire Employee Life Cycle. He is the past National Treasurer of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology South Africa (SIOPSA) and past Branch Chairperson of the Pretoria Region. Under his leadership, the Branch won the prestigious SIOPSA Branch of the Year award for two consecutive years running in 2015 and 2016.
