Jacqueline O’Brien Bio QUALIFICATIONS: Jacqueline O’Brien holds a Bcom degree in Finance and a BA degree in Counselling Psychology. She is an accredited Divorce & Family mediator (SAAM) and an accredited Commercial mediator (Conflict Dynamics & CEDR UK) as well as a court-annexed mediator for the Department of Justice. PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND: She has been a mediator in private practice since 2006 and is active in all aspects of mediation and mediation training. Her five day mediation course is accredited by NABFAM and PSETA. She served for 11 years as Treasurer on the EXCO of the South African Association of Mediators. Her accounting background has proven indispensable as many disputes have a financial aspect. Her studies in psychology give her the necessary insight in relationship dynamics and people’s emotional needs. Jacqueline’s main objective is help manage conflict, prevent litigation and minimize the damage resulting therefrom. She assists people in dispute to negotiate agreements and settlements, and if possible restructure their relationships, whether it be on a personal or on a business level. MEDIATION PRACTICE AREAS: commercial disputes, medico-legal matters, workplace conflict and divorce & family matters, especially matrimonial finance.
