Fields of InterestAs an industrial psychologist and professional mediator, my focus is in the field of medical negligence, public liability, divorce and RAF claims. I have gained extensive experience in this field since 2002.

As an Industrial Psychologist, I have specialised in medico-legal / psycho-legal work since 2002. My approach has always been thorough, objective and ethical.

I have over 20 years experience as a medico-legal / vocational expert.

I am currently the Director of Residual Consulting. As the senior industrial psychologist, I employ and manage a team of professionals to assist me in the areas of workplace and career assessment, medico-legal consulting and mediation.

I have previously assumed formal employment in the global auditing firm of Andersen as well as Liberty Life in the capacity of Human Resources Manager and Organisational Assessment Specialist, respectively.

Senior Industrial Psychologist (PS 57231) – Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa since 1997. 

Master of Arts (with distinction – cum laude, Industrial Psychology) University of the Witwatersrand.

 

 

Mediator – Registered SAMLA medico-legal mediator, qualified divorce mediator (FAMSA), qualified commercial mediator Conflict Dynamics

 

I have assisted the Family Life Centre (FAMSA) in providing psychological counselling and therapy to both individuals and couples. I still assist FAMSA with family/divorce mediation and in supervising fellow counsellors.

 Numerous competency certificates have been received from the University of Cape Town in the field of medico-legal practice.

 

Within the context of South Africa's cultural diversity, the pursuit to continuously establish psychological assessments that are reliable, valid and culturally fair is imperative. In support of this, I have contributed significantly to the establishment of a code of practice for psychological assessment for the workplace in South Africa. This was commissioned by the Psychological Assessment Initiative (PAI).
