Practical workshop 4: Cerebral Palsy

This workshop is one of a series of 10 practical workshops designed and presented by the Faculty of SAMLA.  The Workshops have been accredited by UCT and CPD points are awarded for each workshop.

Leading medical experts in medicine and the law present lectures addressing crucial aspects related to cerebral palsy. The lectures include:

• radiology; 
• neonatology;
• paediatrics;
• neurology; the parthenogenesis of birth asphyxia;
• legal aspects;
• the CTG debate;
• obstetric violence in South Africa;
• ethics in midwifery;
• ethical perspectives on clinical negligence;
•  placental pathology.
