SAMLA has developed 10 practical workshops in medico-legal practice. These workshops can be viewed online as stand-alone workshops, or can be completed, in combination with SAMLA's foundations of medico-legal course, towards the certificate in medico-legal competence issued — upon successful completion of all requirements — by the University of Cape Town's Faculty of Law. details of these workshops are available on this website.

Workshop five: mediation (four mediators, attorneys, advocates, expert witnesses)
Workshop six: pre-trial procedures — case management
Workshop seven: expert report writing
Workshop nine: Expert joint minutes
Workshop 10: Trial procedures and trials — cerebral palsy case
